An electric future, faster

From battery to drivetrain, and everything in between, Ennovi make the components that connect entire electric vehicles. Customizable, press-fit and tough, Ennovi work with the likes of Tesla to enable their products to work efficiently as we approach a new era in electric vehicles.

I led the design and creative teams across the brand transformation project as an active partner with colleagues at the VC firm Blackstone, and directly with C-suite stakeholders at Ennovi.

The link that gets customers to the future, faster

We channeled the ideas of connectivity and speed together in a simple device — the Double N. This mark reflects the simplicity and immediacy of the products Ennovi offer, combined with a reductive pallete with electric yellow that screams out in the sector. An art direction that highlights component parts in an electric yellow hue give what are usually clunky and heavy product images a new lease of life — a suite of visuals that feel compelling and beautiful in their abstract forms.

The task of exciting product films

Component parts inside EVs don't have the same luxury of having the same visual allure of consumer facing, anthropomorphically-led designed items. The challenge in front of us was to present these extremely utilitarian items in a compelling way that was unique to the new brand whilst not alienating the core, engineer customer base. We used light in the Ennovi electric yellow to add a splash of ownable art direction combined with a dynamic animation style that channeled speed without sacrificing clarity.

A clear yet comprehensive website design

The Ennovi website acts as a key portal for customers to understand complex product information, a platform for sustainability credentials, company details and a destination for existing and potential employees to engage with the company. We conducted a fully immersive process from scratch, conducting exercises and workshops to define strategic UX design definitions that fed into UI design exploration, all the while collaborating with the brand design team who were developing the visual identity and content in parallel.
